Which Option Is Right for My Child?

Every child is different.

Some children need extra support to build confidence and strengthen key skills. Others thrive when they are challenged and encouraged to think more deeply. Some are looking for personalised guidance as they move through Key Stage 3 and beyond.

One-to-one tuition allows learning to be tailored entirely to the individual, providing the time, flexibility and support needed for meaningful progress.

Take a look below to discover which type of support might be the best fit for your child.

Why Choose Write Path?

Many children don't need more worksheets, more pressure or more hours of study.

What they often need is time, encouragement and support that is tailored to them as an individual.

As a qualified teacher with experience across both primary and secondary education, I understand that every child learns differently. Some need help filling gaps in their knowledge, some need greater challenge, and others simply need the confidence to believe in themselves again.

One-to-one tuition provides the opportunity to slow down, ask questions, revisit difficult concepts and celebrate success. Sessions are carefully adapted to each child's strengths, interests and goals, helping them make meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for them.

My aim is not simply to improve attainment, but to help children become confident, independent learners who enjoy learning and feel capable of success.

Some children need more than extra practice.

They grasp new concepts quickly, enjoy solving problems and are ready to explore ideas in greater depth. Without appropriate challenge, these learners can become bored, disengaged or develop the habit of aiming only for the minimum required.

The focus is not simply on getting the right answer more quickly. It is about developing deeper understanding, stronger reasoning skills and the confidence to tackle unfamiliar challenges.

Whether your child is already working at Greater Depth or simply loves to learn, tuition provides a supportive environment where they can be stretched, inspired and encouraged to reach their full potential.

    KS3 English Support

Strong Foundations for Secondary School and Beyond

Years 7–9 | Online or In Person (BH8)

The move from primary school to secondary school is a big step.

Students are expected to read more challenging texts, write in greater depth, develop analytical skills and work increasingly independently. For some, this transition feels exciting. For others, confidence can dip as expectations increase and the pace of learning changes.

English is often overlooked during these years because GCSEs can feel a long way off. However, the skills developed in Key Stage 3 form the foundation for future success. Reading comprehension, vocabulary, analytical thinking, writing skills and technical accuracy all become increasingly important as students move towards GCSE study.

My KS3 English tuition is tailored to the individual. Some students need support rebuilding confidence or filling gaps in their knowledge. Others are ready to be stretched and challenged beyond the classroom curriculum.

    Support can include:

✓ Reading comprehension and analytical skills

    ✓ Creative and transactional writing

    ✓ Grammar, punctuation and spelling

    ✓ Vocabulary development

    ✓ Essay structure and organisation

    ✓ Literary analysis and inference

✓ Building confidence with extended writing

✓ Support with homework and school topics

    ✓ Developing independent learning skills

✓ Stretch and challenge for able learners

As a qualified English teacher with experience across both primary and secondary education, I understand the progression from Key Stage 2 through to GCSE. Sessions are designed not only to support current learning, but to build the skills students will rely on later in their education.

Whether your child needs help with a specific area such as spelling, reading or writing, or would benefit from broader English support, tuition is carefully adapted to their strengths, interests and goals.

The aim is simple: to help students feel confident, capable and ready for the challenges ahead.
